For the first in Bemidji, a 3-ring circus is in town. We caught up with the entertainers who were setting up just several hours before show time Wednesday night.
BMX bike stunts, aerial acts and animal tricks will be some of the shows performed in the Aad Shrine Circus at the Sanford Center. This is the first time a full-fledged 3-ring circus is in town. The Shrine Circus came to this side of the state because Bemidji now has the Sanford Center, that is capable of hosting all the circus performances.
According to the Ringmaster, the show to see is the freestyle motor-cross stunts. The Shrine Circus not only aims to bring entertainment to families but also to children with disabilities.
Performers came from all over the country to perform for two nights here in Bemidji. The Sanford Center said Monday afternoon it already sold around 13-hundred tickets for Wednesday’s show and expect to sell more on Thursday. You can catch the Shrine Circus at 6pm Wednesday and Thursday nights this week at the Sanford Center.
