Three local teams took part in a 7-on-7 passing scrimmage on Bemidji State’s campus. And although the season may be a few weeks away, the teams have already started grinding.

Whistles echoed and footballs were flying today on BSU’s campus, as local high school teams took part in 7-on-7 scrimmages to get ready for their upcoming seasons. Bemidji, Brainerd, and Grand Rapids High Schools hit the turf today, with one goal in mind… to get better.

The Lumberjacks are looking for a new quarterback. The Warriors want to see who can step up from a young group. And the Thunderhawks want to see if last year’s inexperience can lead to a big turnaround this year. And the coaches say they are constantly evaluating, but the real tests begin when the pads get strapped on.
