Bemidji Fire Department Eyes Growth

Bemidji’s fire department is looking to open a new building in the Nymore area of town.

The project is set to move forward after the Bemidji city council approved plans for construction bidding. It’s expected to be open in 2017.

The city’s 2016 budget allows over $1 million for this building. It’s something that officials who work as firefighters in the area say is overdue.
