Bemidji Jaycees Prepare For 70th Annual Water Carnival

The Fourth of July may be Friday, but the party starts today. Tonight people will fill Paul Bunyan Park for the start of the Bemidji Jaycees 70th annual water carnival.

The Bemidji Jaycees have been busy setting up this year’s event that will feature carnival rides, food, and games. Thrill-seekers will enjoy rides like the Starship 2000, but other people will find fun at the entertainment tent and food stands.

And of course, the all-American celebration wouldn’t be complete without a fireworks show. At dusk on the Fourth of July, people will be invited to crowd around the lake and watch a fireworks show along with a grand finale.

The water carnival is going on throughout the weekend and ends with a water ski show on Sunday. For a full list of activities, visit BemidjiJaycees.com.
