Brainerd May Be On The Lookout For New Superintendent

Last year after serving as Brainerd Schools’ superintendent for 6 years Steve Razidlo took a job in Austria. Now this year after one year at the superintendent’s desk Klint Willert is looking to make a move closer to home.

In his one year as Brainerd’s Superintendent Willert pushed for more handicap accessible buildings, started an expansion project at Riverside Elementary and has prepared Brainerd Schools for a possibility of adding preschools to Brainerd Schools.

The Brainerd School Board says while they’d like Superintendent Willert to stay, they understand why he’s looking to make the move. And they say after going through the process last year, they think this year will be a little easier.

Willert is also in the running for a superintendent position in Brookings, South Dakota. And he says he’ll know more by Friday.
