We have breaking news tonight concerning the annexation lawsuit between the City of Bemdiji and Bemidji Township.
A court order by Judge Paul Benshoof was released Thursday and rules in favor of the City. According to the order, the City’s motion to confirm an arbitrator’s orders have been granted. That means the Bemidji Township remains bound by the conditions in the November 2004 Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation, the Greater Bemidji Joint Planning Board, and the Revised Joint Powers Agreement.
The Township’s motion to change the complaint has been denied. The judge dismissed the case with prejudice.
