Northwoods Adventure – Stars and Stripes Days

Red, white, and blue covered much of the area over the weekend, but at the heart of it all was the annual Stars and Stripes Days in Pequot Lakes. The annual Independence Day celebration featured numerous events, including the annual Stars and Stripes Parade, as parade goers lined the streets to watch the parade of patriotism. Visitors to the Stars and Stripes Days and the parade say it doesn’t matter if it’s their first, their second, or even their tenth time. They say they couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than with their family and friends. And Crawford says although it was a lot of work, the two-day event was a success for the city and its businesses.
