The Hubbard County Fair is just two weeks away. But before all the fun and games begin, a group of volunteers gave the Park Rapids Fairgrounds a badly needed makeover.
It was a hot, dry day–a perfect time to clean and paint these rundown buildings on the Park Rapids Fairgrounds. 11 volunteers from a food company called Lamb Weston/RDO Frozen dedicated their time to spruce up the old school house, bathroom, and food booths.
The Hubbard County Fair has been entertaining the community for over 100 years. It’s a huge event that gathers thousands of participants, but this year, organizers hope new shows will attract even more people. They also hope the community will gain a new sense of appreciation for this historical landmark, thanks to the volunteers.
The Hubbard County Fair is located at the Park Rapids Fairgrounds and starts on July 16th through July 20th.
