Party at the Pines kicks Brainerd Lakes Areas’ 4th of July Festitives off with a bang

Celebrating our independence with a bang. Grand View Lodged hosted their annual Party in the Pine last night to kick off the Brainerd Lakes Area’s Fourth of July festivities.
Grand View Lodge resort amenities director, Andrew Huebner says, “Just the start of the tradition doing it on the second. You know that way it still allows people to do their Fourth of July things and we can kind of have some fun a couple of days before.”
Party at the Pine welcomed all member of the community from friends and families to local businesses and clubs. The goal is to create a melting pot of fun that benefits the tourists as well as the visitors.
Huebner says, “We love to do this for the community as well. We also offer this opportunity to our guests, but it’s kind of become a pretty big community event the last few years. And the response has been great. We have a lot of community members that come out every year for it.”
Brainerd Rotary co-chair, Ruth Gmeinder, says, “We’re looking at any place there’s a lot of people and we not only want to educate them about what Rotary does, but also because they have the opportunity to only spend $10 and help the youth in the Brainerd Lakes Area.”
Party at the Pines is more than just a Fourth of July celebration, it’s a way to showcase the best Minnesota has to offer.
James Schmitt, Silver Springs, MD visitor says, “I came out here to bring my family the experience of the Fourth of July in the great north woods of Minnesota. I grew up in Minnesota and I want my family to have this experience as well.”
Face paint, food, sports, friends, bouncy houses and fun. Party at the Pine brought all of the Fourth of July festivities to Nisswa and capped it off with a bang.
The Fourth of July fun will continue in the Brainerd Lakes Area through next week.
