The Spot For Brainerd’s Youth

Giving Brainerd’s youths a safe place to hangout and feel wanted. The Shop in Brainerd doesn’t just want loitering, they encourage it. They welcome Brainerd youth, who can sometimes feel unwanted, and give them a place to hangout and become a productive member of the community.
Some younger youths use The Shop as a safe place to hangout with friends, while others use it for the free Internet and as a place to grab a snack.
The Shop says they’ve welcomes youths who’ve runaway or are couch-surfing to make sure they have a positive place where they can get back on their feet.
The Shop also holds events to get the youths back involved in the community like P.C.s for People and walk a mile in her shoes. Most of the youths are between 14-21 but they welcome anyone who walks through the doors.
